Hey guys, just got my new 9200 and setup my NX...I love the system the only problem is that when I'm listening to music, it skips...ALOT. I can't seem to find anything about this online and I was wondering if anyone else here has had this problem.

I tried updating the drivers/firmware from creatives website, as well as disabling the onboard sound while using the NX to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks a lot.

USB external audio + notebooks = risky as hell

You probably have an IRQ conflict.

    Go to START > RUN > msinfo32

See what else is on the IRQ with your soundcard.

If you do have a conflict there are two options. If your computer is set up as a "Standard PC" and not "ACPI" you can manually reassign IRQS in your OS. You probably can't manually reassign IRQs in your BIOS (unfortunately drawback of notebooks).

I hate USB...no standards at all. I had the same experience with a M-Audio Mobilepre. I had to sell it and get the Firewire Solo.

    I'm using the similar soundcard.

I had that problem when i first installed it. It was solved when i updated the drivers...cause i was reading part of the updates, it supposedly 'enhanced' or fix USB 2.0 connection issues.. (can't remember where i read it from..sorry)

So..just a thought...oh ya, i also updated my motherboard's chipset drivers before installing the new drivers...just to make sure the USBs work fine.
