This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Crucial M4 5200hrs bug fix (available)

    The update installed just fine on a linux system. Put the iso file on a flashdrive with unetbootin and toggled at boot to start the flashdrive first. Installed in less than a minute with no errors. I made no changes to the bios.

    Note: I used the usb2 port only.

    Just opened my new M4 128GB, came with firmware 0009.

    Burnt a CD of firmware 0309 before hand (yesterday) and flashed the virgin M4 drive (0009) out of the box no problems, everything went as smooth as butter.
