    Crucial or GSkill? (2x4GB DDR3 1333MHz)

    I ordered my NP8150 without any RAM, so I could order some good brand name, higher quality RAM than what comes usually. I am looking to purchase 8gigs at the moment. All the following have 5 egg reviews on NewEgg. GSkill seems to be the most popular with 155 reviews. The Crucial only has about 25 reviews, but is also 5 eggs.

    Only difference I see between the sticks is the slight difference in PC3. No idea what that means though. All I know about RAM is the differences in size, lol. I know some is better for overclocking, while others are not.

    I do not plan on overclocking. I am just looking for reliable, stable, high quality RAM. I think both will provide me this based on reviews.

    I am leaning toward GSkill just because it appears to be much more popular.

    Are there any actual differences between the two besides brand reputations? Are there any hard facts that makes one better than the other? Which should I go with in your opinion? Why?

    I saw at provantage lower prices than those too. it was 56 ish

    Assuming they're rated correctly, I believe PC-10666 memory is just ever so very slightly faster than PC-10600 memory... not that you're likely to notice the difference in anything other than a memory benchmark. And truth to tell, manufacturer variation will probably wipe out that difference anyway.

    Both companies are highly recommended. Just get whatever is cheapest at the time of purchase.

    Crucial is certainly better and has a better warranty. Something like lifetime i think. I would get the Crucial. The difference isn't much anyways.

    G. Skill also has a lifetime warranty. Ended up buying them for my desktop and laptop because of good price and good reviews. Also had one incident where I had to rma and no issues, got brand new memory in exchange.

    The CL or latency is the same "9" on both , get the cheaper ones.

    If that's the case , get the cheaper one. I didn't know about Gskill having lifetime warranty. Certainly know Crucial did.

    Both are also certainly way more expensive although i'm very happy with my 8GB Hyper X RAM which i got as a free upgrade :D
