    Hi,

I'm hoping if you can help me with this decision. First, I'm thinking of buy either:
    Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

    Or

    CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

Can someone tell me which brand is more reliable (long lasting, no errors) and faster? Maybe better memory chips?

Also, how can I check if my motherboard or chipset has a limit of 677mhz? I don't want to spend extra money purchasing 800mhz DDR2 memory if my chipset limitation is only 677mhz.

    Thanks for your help!

    Which notebook is it ?

Both Crucial and Corsair are good, though Crucial comes out on top in customer service. Memory chip's brand and all doesn't matter.

It's a Sony SZ680.. currently has 2GB (2x1GB) corsair DDR2 memory trying to upgrade to 4GB (i know it will only recognize 3.5GB, but i believe dual channel will still work)

Maximum is DDR2-667, since you notebook has the GM965 chipset (Can verify in CPU-Z). DDR2-800 will downclock to DDR2-667.

Yeah, with a 32-bit OS, max accessible by Windows will be around 3.5GB, but the modules will still be in Symmetric Dual Channel.
