The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Did not see this listed; because many of us use this to bench our drives, I posted here instead of under software. Please destroy if needed..

    Now comes with unannounced new feature; adware! If the author would plainly state that this would be added with the install, I would have passed on the install. :eek:

    Unwanted toolbars
    Popup generating adware requiring manual removal
    Search engine and homepage hijacker (Conduit)

    Having trusted the author, in the past, I did not warrant much caution when updating. Just so all is aware, it took me three restartsto fully remove Conduit Search. Smarter people can do it faster ;)
