My 80GB is poky and it is now in the brink of exploding with data. I want to get a new HD and ended up looking at this WD 320GB HD. The problem is, I'm not sure if it will fit in the D630 (physically), I've heard that some HDs tend to be physically larger when they get at this large capacity (at least that's the case with the new 500GB notebook drives, 12.5mm vs 9.5mm). If that doesn't work, I was thinking of going with this 250GB Seagate and save myself about $40.

Thanks for any help you provide me with, I plan to play around with Linux and OSX with this machine (IT student).

The 320gb 5400rpm drives are the standad 9mm thick, so it will fit without a problem.
Both of the drives, will be faster than your 80gb drive.
However, the 320gb drive will be faster than the 250gb drive, cause it has a greater data density.
