Ive been thinking of upgrading my D900T to basically the best it can be. All I need is the Nvidia 7950 card and a faster processor. The only problem is those are extremely expensive so I had some cheaper things in mind. Before you ask, I have mobo revision 6.2 and the 240v power supply.
There are some Nvidia 7950's floating around eBay from a dell laptop that are quite a bit cheaper but the heatsink is kinda funky, was wondering if I could take the heat sink from my Nvidia 6600go and put it on the Dell Nvidia 7950, has anyone tried this?
Also, I was thinking of upgrading to a socket 775 duo or quad core processor, could my laptop even support either of them, even if I found and installed a custom bios?
Also, is there anywhere that I can purchase better fans and heat sinks for this laptop, they don't seem to do their job very well, even with a Cooler Master Infinity on full blast under it.
