Not sure if this is the right forum, if so, sorry!

My S96J has been really finicky lately. It stopped taking a charge and after opening it up, it looked like a simple fix of just resolding the positive lead back onto the motherboard. I hooked up the battery and the orange light came on.

After I put the whole thing back together (a process I'm getting sick of) I plugged the power in and nothing happened. So I open it up again and I noticed my new solder is completely gone. While I'm not the best with a soldering gun, I know I'm getting as good of a connection as I can get with such a small pin.

Does anyone have a more permanent solution? I've tried putting a few layers of electrical tape over it and it just melts through it and shortly after that my laptop loses power. I think it's shorting it self out on a piece of metal right above it. I'll try and get some pictures next time I open it up (which will probably be tonight, ugh..)

Any suggestions would be great. It's a pain having to open this thing up 3 times a week and never knowing when it's going to crap out.
