I am a first time user here so please bare with me.

I have the Philips X57 with i945 chip set but not sure on what DDR ram to buy.
When looking for ram it mentions Dimm and also Mmz so not sure which one I should be looking at and if the X57 can only handle curtain ones.

I have Vista and running 2x512Mb ram. What would you recommened upgrading to? as I heard the 32bit OS only needs a max of 3Gb ram.

    Can anyone out there help??

32bit vista only recognizes up to 3-3.5GB Ram

go to This Link and check your system- they'll give you exact specs on your notebook memory
