Is there some reason to pick 533mhz DDR2 Ram instead of 667 mhz?
On Dells website its alittle cheaper to get the 667mhz....![]()

To save money would be the only reason since DDR2 533 is slower than DDR2 667.
-
Well... on Dell you actually save like 20$ to get the 667mhz.... very strange
-
Stange indeed. Sometimes it just depends on how much supply is on the market as to the price it's going for.

And my 667 OCZ was not any faster than my 533...bummer
Dell's web site? Try shopping newegg for ram, $140 for two 1gig sticks of namebrand ram is found frequently. -

What CPU are you getting with the notebook?

T2300 1.66Ghz probably. Might upgrade to the T2400 1.88Ghz.. im not sure.

I would go for the 667MHz RAM if it's cheaper as you said. I was wondering about the CPU because if you were going to get the T2050 (1.60GHz) or T2250 (1.73GHz), they both have 533MHz FSB's, and even if you got the 667MHz RAM, it would only run at 533MHz due to the FSB. But since you're getting the T2300E, which has a proper 667MHz FSB, then go for the 667MHz RAM.
DDR2 533mhz vs 667mhz?
