I am thinking of getting a new Laptop using DDR2, just wondering when I upgrade the RAM should both slots have identical size or can I mix for example a 1 gig stick with a 512 stick? or should both be 512?

As for the RAM and Dual Channel, its overrated.

I find that one stick of 1gb is enough, so you can upgrade it easily in the future. Mixing works as well, no problems.
