why would you pay such a premium for only marginaly faster ram kit? That laptop needs an SSD upgrade first

but yes im pretty sure it is compatible

I already have an SSD of my own that i installed. The reason i need the RAM is because 16gb is not enough for the programs i run, and I'm forced to use Virtual Memory/Page Filing, which takes up a ton of CPU performance with the annoying "System and Compressed Memory". The extra speed upgrade from 2100 to 2800 mhz is just icing on the cake, and newegg gave me a 10% promo code lowering the price from $230 to $207 for this unrivaled RAM speed.

oh im sorry. I tought you were swapping out the 16gb kit for just a marganialy faster 16gb kit.

It should work probably. Weather it will run at 2800Mhz im not sure. It might run at lower speed but just tighter timings. I couldnt find any information of supported RAM speeds of the motherboard myself. But if i had to guess id say they would work

edit: please keep me posted if you do get this RAM. Im looking to upgrade in the future too (when prices for the faster ram drop :p)
