    DELL LATITUDE cant connect!

    Hello
    I have a DELL LATITUDE 2100 laptop, the problem is i cant connect it to internet... i have a hathway broadband connection. and whenever i connect i get a balloon saying "Limited Connectivity"

    please help!

    I don't know if this will apply to you but I'm just throwing it out there. I've got a Dell E6500 with a broadband connection to Verizon and what I found was that the Dell utility for connecting to Verizon was absolute garbage... no really, it was slow to connect (taking over a minute), when it would connect at all. I ended up ditching the Dell software for that of Verizon which ended up working MUCH better. Does Hathaway do something similar (use it's own software for broadband products)? It might be worth a try.

    well open network settings and then click status and then properties.. edit the one which is tcip 4 and make the ip address auto detect and change DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 ... worked for me but seriously from what i read hathway is worst broadband ever.
