    Hi guys,
few hours ago while playing a game my laptop crashed.
It was a black-gray screen with no errors or anything information about that with only a stange noise coming deep inside my machine.

Then i switched of my laptop but could not post. I could see the turn on lights ,my fan was spinning but i couldn't see the bios post. After switched on/off 2-3 times it booted just fine..

What could be the best reason of that problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Did it possibly overheat?
Check the SMART status of your hard drive as well using HD Tune or a similar program.

Well guys still geting random bsod.
Some of them says about fmltgr.sys and others ntfs.sys errors.

Something has to do with my hard drive, right?

Thats weird cause this problems occured after a fresh install of windows.
I have to say that with the old windows i didn't have any raw read error in my hd.

    BSOD could be anything!

    Check driver updates, RAM, hdd...

overheating - open up and clean your fans etc

The strange noise part really sounds weird though!

When it blue screens, it should give you an error code. Copy it down and Google it.

Since the old install was 100% fine it saay's to me drivers and most likely the HDD or chipset drivers are the issue. Now and HDD could be failing as well but it would be awefull coincedental that it happened at the same time you decided to fresh install.

Here is the issue though if the drivers are causing drive errors most likely it is the same time is is using the driver files and corrupting them. This means you might have a problem getting those files off and the propper ones on. cuasing yet more errors and frustrations. it will seem to be a never ending cycle.

Best bet is to be sure you have all the proper drivers, on say a USB device, and do a fresh install again......................
