Im looking to upgrade my laptops cpu but i dont know what the best one i can use is. The original one is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 1.7ghz. I have looked around and seen many other dv6000 models that have much better ones and even though they are not the same model im assuming that they use most of the same parts. hoping someone has some experience upgrading a dv6000. Thx

If i were to get a TL-60 which runs at 2.0GHz, how much would that increase my system performance? I have also been looking at upgrading my ram from 2gb to 3gb. which would make a bigger difference?

Going from 1.7 to 2.0Ghz is not that much of a jump. I suggest looking at the TL-64, TL-66 or TL-68 processors
