    Hello,

I want to install a 2d Hard Drive in my DV9500.

Are there any 160gb or 250gb Sata hard drives sold "WITH a Caddy and Sata plastic connector", and if so, where?

Does anybody know where to buy a Caddy and Sata connector either individually or in a kit at a reasonable price? The approximately $40 price for same on eBay seems a bit much.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

    Pete

Hello... you're looking to buy an internal drive... and then you're looking to buy an eSata drive? The point of eSata is that it's meant to be an external connector for external drives. Or is that what you're actually looking for?

    Hello,

You're point is well taken. I must have had a senior moment. I meant to say sata drive not eSata drive.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Im doing this myself with my DV9000...40 bucks for the connector and caddy is reasonable....im going with a 160gb 7200 rpm drive for my main OS drive, and a 250gb 5400 RPM drive for my storage...I love the 9000 series Hps....lots of room and monitor thats second to none!

FYI - Tiger Direct has a 2.5" 5400rpm 250gb sata drive by Toshiba for $99.95.
