    Have you tried VLC player, as it comes with a DVD decoder. http://www.videolan.org/

    Note: The decoder will not work within WMP, you have to use VLC.

    hes not referring to a DVD ripper, he wants a DVD decoder... similar to a codec for video playback on media players.

    If you have Media Center, it requires a DVD decoder to have it fully functional.

    VLC is good and free for playback.

    But I recommend to get CyberLink PowerDVD 6.0+ or new WinDVD to have the decoder install into the entire system for use with any and all media players... especially for Media Center.
