    Im new but have a question, is the dvd drive on the laptop only able to play dvd rom video games and cant play cd rom video games. If that so, then Im screwed.

    No, your DVD drive will play both DVD's and normal CD-ROM discs. Most DVD drives these days can also write DVD's, although you will need some software for that. Hope this helps.

    Im pretty sure the notebook comes with some kind of cd/dvd burner software.
