Hey guys i was wondering if someone could help

    Got a Alienware 7700 Laptop

Stopped working a little while back in the fact everything lit up but no boot. Now this had happened to me before and i needed new mobo and cpu.

Apperently this is a common problem for this mobo

Checked the AC adaptor and by the readings everything is correct (but reading some over threads you can get incorrect results from these types of reads)

Well the same thing happened again, got a new mobo but still no boot - a damaged cpu should still give a boot shouldnt it(thats of course if the cpu is damaged)?

Please help as this expensive laptop seems to get more expensive every year!

    Spec:
    P4 3.4Ghz
    2Gb DDR2 667Mhz
    256mb Geforce 6800
120 Gb Samsung HDD in Raid 0
    Internal Wifi card

    many thanks in advance

Call up Alienware and get them to refund your 7700 because of the problem. They will if you give it time, and you'll be able to use the credit to get the new m17x. Maybe the battery's damaged?

If you have the extended warranty they'll replace it. It shouldn't stop working after a few years. If Alienware can't fix it after three attempts, due to law, they have to give a full refund (which'll be in Alienware credit).
