So I've been hunting around trying to find a bigger, badder, and sexier monitor to hook up to my gaming laptop to game on. In the past I've had a 32 inch hooked up to it and I loved the experience. So now I'm trying to find one I can hook up to it along with using a mechanical keyboard for when I'm not mobile and in my usual spot in my house.

So with that said, I have come down to the following two models and I'm not sure if there is a big difference other than the sizes. I will say I am mainly a RTS and MMO player. I do occasionally play one 3rd person shooter (/cough /cough don't laugh Battlefield Heroes ha), but nothing outside of that. Also I plan on playing somewhat close to the screen so a good looking monitor but its not crucial. So here are the models!

    BenQ GW2750HM
    Amazon.com: BenQ VA GW2750HM 27-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor: Computers & Accessories

    So what do you think?

I think you should get the 27" monitor.

You see, I'm sorta in the same boat but need a specified monitor for my uses. One things for sure, its got to be large enough to be of maximum benefit.

That means I'm only considering 30" monitors since real estate disappears fast and is paramount to my uses. So unless you've limited desk space, get the 27"

i got the GW2750HM myself. Viewing angle isnt great for a VA panel (better than TN obviously but had better VA/IPS panels), but love it being matte. plus its really cheap for 27"

Hmm so how close do you sit in front of it? What do you use it for?
