I recently started streaming to Twitch. Ultimately showcasing performance via Rivatuner while putting these laptops through their paces in various environments.
Doing so compromises performance so I’m looking to build a small dedicated pc to handle the Stream load.
Can I get away with an intel cpu on an itx board with the single slot filled with an Elgato HD60 Pro?
This question has been asked too many times online and the answers are all over the place.
Currently I’m happily using Streamlabs OBS and NV encoding. I have a few weeks of experience with this now and too many different varieties of tweaking. There’s still a performance hit from laptop that I want to remove. Ultimately providing evidence of what laptop X is capable of is the main goal.
Please advise,
Bob

To be honest, why even go that route? Streaming is a thing many people would want to do and is something to emulate issues that arises once games become more demanding and what to expect in the future of those notebooks.
It's perfect to showcase the power limit throttling problem we have with new notebooks and how they ruin experiences if throttling is being triggered by high demand such as streaming. -
Not a good trade off. Not to mention most people that wanna know performance of these laptops and are far more concerned with how they’re going to perform in an environment in which is not being used for streaming.Last edited: Nov 1, 2018Mastermind5200 likes this.
