I recently installed an SSD onto my laptop and I'm not using my old HDD as an external. Problem is, it has two partitions on it and it pisses me off just a bit (I'm a little OCD, okay?). How do I delete both partitions and create just one? I know that I can just pop the HDD back in then use my recovery CD to do it, but there has to be a better way, right?

have you even tried doing what you want via disk management?

Disk management? Please tell me more!

EDIT: I seem to have deleted both partitions... now how do I make a new partition?

EDIT 2: Nevermind, I found out... thanks!

open your system properties, device manager, look for disk management.

this is not a task for total noobs though, if you 'do it wrong' or choose the wrong disk, you've zapped either a drive or your whole system.

    google is your friend.
