Hello all, I'm about to place an order on the XPS as well but I have a short question which made me hesitant in making my order. I've read magazines and reviews and they say that if you like to game, it's not recommended to use the 5400 RPM hard drive as it becomes a bottleneck. I wanted to know if it will significantly impact the performance say on CS Source and a few others and if it is really worth paying that extra 200 dollars to get the 7200 RPM hard drive. Also, I would like to ask if XPS M1330 is capable of changing hard drives so later on maybe I can upgrade? Is it possible?

The hard drive does not impact gaming pretty much at all. The only time you will notice is it when the map changes. It will take longer to load all the textures, models, and maps into the video and system memory. But once it is there the game will run pretty much the same if you have 5400 or 7200rpm drive.

Yes, you can change the hard drive later if you need or want to.
