As long as it's a SATA drive, you're in good shape.

What processor do you have? Chances are it can be upgraded, but it's almost never worth the money/hassle.

Lithus makes a very good point. Processors are normally never worth the hassle to upgrade, and the cost is quite excessive. Its normally much better to upgrade the hard disk to a faster one, and/or add more RAM.

i have a tl-50 1.6ghz dual-core, i was just wondering for the future when prices drop and ill but the tl-66 or something high end in because i know this proc is goin to get outdated very quickly :p with amd phenom core comming out soon. i have a 5400rpm 120gb waiting for the something decent (seagate or such) to come out with a 10k or 250+gb, and my ram is maxed out at 2bg would buying some high end corsiar or such memory actauly produce decent increases (rather expensive)

ssd is not going to be maturing for long time especialy for drives size and they are gona be super expensive, 10k rite now are on the market but i gues a 7200 would be just as good

SSD will be mainstream within 1-2 years at reasonable prices guaranteed....you will still see the loud platter setups for larger storage, more than likely external (500gb-2tb)

RAM operates to a specification brand makes no difference. Can you upgrade CPU? I don't know. I can tell you they use the same socket (good). But TL-66 is 65nm 35W yours is 90nm 31W. Don't know if that matters.
