    Dell 1520 Aftermarket Hard Drives

    To upgrade the hardrive on the dell inspiron 1520... I would have to buy a 2.5" Serial ATA 150 drive correct and NOT an "ATA-6" Hardrive... Im tryin to understand the difference. My currenty hard drive is SATA. ATA150=SATA?

    I don't believe ATA150 is SATA. SATA is...SATA or Serial ATA.?

    You're very confused. Those are the 2 main types, IDE and SATA. But within those 2 nominations, there are several different specs.

    For SATA there are 2: ATA150 and ATA300.

    For IDE there are 2: ATA100 and ATA133.

    So as you can see, this ATA150 is SATA, or Serial ATA, or Serial ATA150
