Does anyone know what kind of Hard Drive goes into the Adamo XPS? Also, what's the max amount of RAM can this thing take? I would love to upgrade it because it's just so awesome, as well as I think the SSD really should be upgraded. I love using it to get people to notice it since it's so slim, on such an awesome hinge, and the best thing is the way it opens! :) Anyway, thanks in advance!

I believe 4 GB is the maximum RAM as it houses a GS45 chipset and it doesn't support 8 GB sticks. Also the HDD is 1.8" SATA but you'll need to buy the SSDs with a bare PCB as I don't think encased SSDs fit. I believe Dell offered only the PM800 in 1.8" SSD.

Thanks for that info! So just to make sure, if I upgrade it with a 120GB Samsung mSATA 840 EVO, would that work?

I don't think the 840 is sold in 1.8" SATA, only mSATA which is not the same thing.

mSATA is the one the all the way on the left. 1.8" SATA is the one next to mSATA. You'll gonna have a tougher time finding a better value on 1.8" SATA drives as they aren't popular anymore.

You might be able to find a mSATA to 1.8" adapter, people have used these extensively in certain ThinkPads but I'm not certain whether it will fit the bay of your Adamo.

    Good luck.

Huh, thanks for all the help and tips! I'll check as to what upgrade options I have for a 1.8". :)
