    Does anyone here still have one of these? If so, could look to see what devices are available as boot options in the BIOS? Specifically, does the BIOS give you the option to boot from PCIe?

    I don't have one, but I can assure you that PCIe SSDs aren't going to work.

    I imagine you are right. I have the D420 now and it does not have an option to boot from a Mini PCIe port. Options are Hard Drive, CD, USB Drive, NIC. It's possible it would see the Mini PCIe as a Hard Drive, but I doubt it. And it's too expensive to chance.
