    I am probably going to be purchasing the Dell E1505 when another good sale comes up but i was wondering since the dell site doesnt say what size the Cache buffer is in the notebook hardrives is it 2mb or 8mb? :O

    Could be 8mb, my inspiron 6000 came with 8mb hitachi5400rpm.
    To check your cache you can use HDTune.

    If you click on the "help me choose" link over the drive selection it gives a lot more info. The 5400 rpm drives have a 2MB cache while the 7200 rpm have 8MB.
    Right now they aren't offering the 7200 for the E1505. The popular theory is that they are currently out of stock, but newegg.com has a few for a whole lot less. Just remember to get serial ATA as that is what the E1505 uses.
