Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here on this forum. I need your help.

I have a Dell E1505 which just went krazy on me. When the notebook is unplugged and running off the battery, the lcd flickers all the time. I tried turing off the Intel Graphic Accelerator power saving function: doesn't work; reinstalling the drivers: nope; reinstalling all the proprietary Dell junk: nope either.

So in order for me to use the notebook without the lcd flickering is to plug it in all the time  Defeats the purpose of having a PORTABLE notebook

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Daluvdr

I have an e1505, and never had any problems with screen flickering. It may be a loose connection between the screen and the graphics card. Does the flickering happen when you rotate the screen back quite a ways? If so, than its a loose connection. But it seems odd that it only happens on battery. If it does, you may have some kind of power setting optimized the wrong way.

If this is correct and I think it could be the simple way to change is install Notebook Hardware Control (free). Go to the "Graphic" tab (6th over) set all sliders to performance. The hope is that this will override any other setting that at this point you are not aware of and therefor cannot find.
