    I rather not disassemble this laptop if I don't have to. Anyone know how many mini pci express card slots this model has? There is one for the WiFi card. Any others?

    It has 1 mini PCI-E slot for WLAN card. You can Google the raw motherboard pictures.

    Thanks, that was a good idea. One more thing, do you know what connector is used: topmost, leftmost (near the sata connector), just south of the screw hole? It connects to the ExpressCard bay.

    I mean, the connector you labelled "expresscard connector", does it have a name or is it a non-standard connector?

    Uhh I don't think it has a specific name, it's just where the EC piece plugs into. Probably some proprietary connector.

    Ok thanks. Had it been a standard connector there might have existed an adaptor to mini-PCI-e, since EC connects directly to the PCI-e bus.

    Edit: I'd mark it as solved if I could figure out how...
