Hey, I have a Dell E1705 with the Nvidia 7900 GS graphics card installed. Around the web I have seen a few articles about updating the graphics card on the E1705 but the upgrades seem to be to variations on the 7900/7950 card and were written years ago.
Does anyone know if there are any graphics cards that are newer/faster that would be compatible with my laptop (even if they possibly require a few case modifications)?

port2 = mPCIe wifi
port4 = expresscard
In which case consider a $200 GTS450 or $220 GTX460 setup. -

For those who like to keep our graphics cards inside our computers...
You can use this: Dell Precision M6300 nVidia GP041 1600M 256m Video Card - eBay (item 230551852053 end time Jan-15-11 18:46:09 PST)
Which is like a 8700m GT. You have to replace the cooling system.
Or this http://forum.notebookreview.com/com...-mobile-quadro-fx-2500m-512mb-mobile-vid.html
Which is like a 7900m GTX.
So not much of an upgrade on either of those.
