I bought it cheap and am doing small mods to make better but that just isn't enough and I need more info before i make my final decision on buying chip for it.I heard you can Upgrade to AmD Turion but dont know for sure yet.If anyone knows please help me im stuck until i hear more thanks

What are your normal temperatures? Because if it already runs hot, I wouldn't recommend an upgrade. But honestly, AMD notebook upgrades are rare because the processors themselves are so rarely upgraded, and there are a lot less AMD notebooks sold.

This man speaks the truth. You will also find that it will be harder for you to find an answer, because of the reason stated.

The Insprion E1501 supports all Turion X2 TL series processors. I would look to upgrade to the TL-60, TL-64 or TL-68. They will be faster in terms of processing power.
You can control the temperature of the processor with I8KFANGUI. You can control the one fan in the laptop with it.
The E1501 and E1505 use the same heatsink/fan combination. So temperatures will not be bad.
