    Hi,

I have what appears to be a few dead pixel/dirt under the screen. Its the FHD TouchScreen. I have just bought the laptop from eBay, and the sellers return policy is for "unused" items, so I would have to go through and probably fight him for a return so as I see it my options are:

    1. Contact Dell and see if it can be replaced under warranty.
    2. Contact Seller/eBay come to some agreement.
    3. Take of touch panel myself and check it isn't just a piece of dirt.

    Cheers in advanced.

Dirt is definitely possible and has simlar characterstics to dead pixels. But taking apart the layers of an lcd screen is a pain in the butt and I only do it if absolutely necessary. You shouldn't have to deal with that. You should talk to the seller. Was the laptop used or brand new in the box?

It was "as new" from an outlet reseller, I have contacted Dell technical support to see what they suggest first, but will still be within timeframes to return to eBayer if needs be.

I've had several LCDs replaced under warranty for dirt/dust/hair particles but this was with Lenovo, not Dell.

    They *should* replace it, though.

    Good luck.
