Hi guys,
I'm ordering a DELL Inspiron 1520 with Intel integrated graphics card .
I want to know if I can upgrade at a later date to Nvidia 8600 GT 256 MB ?
Is it possible to get a Nvidia card installed later in inspiron 1520?
please advise what to do ?
thanks
ekram

It is possible

Chances of sourcing a new card are probably slim however. -
It doesn't say anywhere that the integrated card can be upgraded ! Sure, most DELL dedicated cards can be replaced/upgraded, but I don't think you can do the same with an integrated GMA adapter. Because graphics adapter is built in to the north bridge of the chipset.

Bah, my bad
i didnt read the OP's post thoroughly enough to see he has the GMA integrated adapter I assumed he meant from 1 card to another.
Im unsure whether the main board in the Inspiron 1520 with integrated graphics will also have the slot for a dedicated card.. -
