I have only had this laptop for a few months. I turn off the touchpad because I use a mouse. My son turned the touchpad back on, and since I've turned it back off again, it's still working. The touchpad icon has an X through it, and when I turn the laptop on a little box comes up saying that the touchpad is off because an external mouse is detected. (all of the boxes saying to disable the touchpad are checked and one box saying to enable the touchpad is unchecked) When I'm typing my cursor jumps all over the screen anytime I touch the touchpad, no matter how lightly it is. How can I get the touchpad to stop working?!
