I'm looking to replace the DVD drive that came with my Dell Inspiron 6000 with a burner with double layer write capacity. Can anyone make any recommendations? I'd prefer to avoid an external drive if possible.
Thanks!

You might try checking dell spare parts. They are a little expensive, but it is better than getting a drive that won't fit or is mismatched in color.

NewEgg has the NEC dvd-burner I'm not sure if it is a dual-layer or not but it only costs about $85 and on the reviews a guy put one in his I6000 and said that it is the one that comes standard if it comes from Dell with a burner.
