Hi, Guys
I'm going to be buying a new notebook here shortly. Waiting for the right bargain and I'll have to wait til they build it. But in the meantime I need to have one to use so I opted to repair my Dell Inspiron 8000. It was working fine until the flex cable going to the LCD broke. And it had some other needs so I bought a used flex cable on eBay and a new keyboard, AC adapter, and a few screws. Total cost $79.Anyway, finally got everything but when I put it together the colors on the screen are really washed out and it's really bright and the mouse pointer moves really slowly. Not sure what's going on. I'm going to try it in safe mode in a minute here. I'm at the library. Also when I use it with an external monitor it works fine so I guess it's not the video card. Any thoughts? Thx.

Looks like you need a new graphics driver
As far as the mouse goes, go to control panel, and then under mouse/pointing devices you will be able to change the speed of the mouse pointer.

BTW, one more thing is when I tried to run it in safe mode yesterday it would just bring up a long list of prompts from the Windows sys32 folder and then just recycle itself to the reboot process and never did get into the desktop even in safe mode.
