Hey everyone! I just ordered a Dell Inspiron e1505 for college. The Dell salesman I spoke to said that to keep the battery running at peak performance I should always charge the battery up and run it all the way down to nothing. But as a college student, I don't think it will be convenient to sit around waiting for the battery to die before I can move it to another place. I was hoping to get a second opinion on my lithium 9 ion battery life.

Also, would carrying the laptop in my backpack while it's running be harmful to the internal components?

    Thanks for the help!

According to the Notebook Battery Guide its not a good idea to constantly do full discharge becuase it will lose their capicity(amount of battery life)

    how to prolong battery life
