    Hi Guys,

This laptop is for our user experiencing over heating. I basically just wanted to replace the thermal paste and when I put it back together the laptop would not power on at all, whether with battery installed or DC plugged in. Nothing.

I followed numerous guides and dismantled the whole thing like 4 times now and still nothing, removed coin, removed one ram, tried everything I could think of still nothing as if there is no current going through the motherboard. Fans would not even spin.

I am an IT support and I usually do these stuff, but this specific laptop is giving me a hard time. The user said it used to power on prior to giving it to me, but my mistake was I never bothered turning it on before dismantling it and it may have been DOA.

    I appreciate the help guys!

This is something you should've tried first and now we don't know if it worked before or not to really know if the unit worked or not. So this basically means any diagnostic will not be of any value. And being IT as you mentioned you first should see if the unit powers up or not to begin starting any kinda fix.
