I have my Dell M4600 that I still use with windows 10. Initially I had WXGA screen and everything was working well as far as I can tell..
My laptop has Quadro 1000m graphics card. Few months ago, i have replaced my screen with compatible FHD screen B156HW01 v1. since then I have started noticing issues:
1. When computer is in sleep and I wake it, screen does not turn on, computer is on, but screen is off.
2. When playing game and switching from full screen application to desktop, screen turns off and does not come back. I can hear sound playing and I know everything is still running.
The only way to turn the screen back on is to force shut down by holding power button, or to connect external display. Interesting part is that when screen is off and I connect external display everything comes back again, I hear a sound of "device connected".
How can I troubleshoot this problem? I have updated my graphics card drivers multiple times, but that didn't do ti.
