I currently have the 720p screen on my XPS and im thinking of upgrading it. Could anyone give some advice on what 1080p screen to buy?

    AUO B156HW01 V7 - This one if you want the XPS 15's own high-gamut, B+RGLED 1080p screen.

    AUO B173HW01 V4 - This one if you want a high-gamut, anti-glare 1080p screen instead.

You also need the 1080p LVDS cable, the 720p one will not work.

Can I do this on my E6520 if I have a 1080p screen already?

I'm having the same question about a different laptop. Do you know where I could get a 1080p LVDS cable? Is it something you can order separately?

Yes, just make sure you have the 1080p LVDS cable, as Tsunade_Hime stated. THe LVDS cable you need is under $20 on eBay:

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...20+LVDS&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

    Or $35 here:

Try eBay, what laptop do you have?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A660/665. I'm just trying to see if there is any replacement screen that will work with it that is better than the default 1366x768 screen that comes with it, but I'm not running into much luck. :\
