    Hi fellas,

    My e1505 currently has a T2400 @ 1.83GHz and I want to upgrade it.
So are M socket processors my only option? If so, I am thinking about buying the following processors. But it is kinda expensive? What do you guys think? Does it worth it?

Socket M Processor are very pricey nowadays. You could always try to find one on ebay or something. Yeah, you could get that, or you could go a little lower.

    T7400 - 2.16GHz I believe
    T7200 - 2.00GHz

Its not worth it to upgrade processors,
I have a T5300, which is a 1.73Ghz merom dual core, and it is plenty fast for the applications I use it for.

You will notice that when you get that faster harddrive, your system will be much faster. You will see that you do not need to upgrade the processor.

Plus those T7200, 7400 and 7600 get much hotter than your T2400, so you would expect much higher temperatures and much less battery life.

Its not worth the $700 for the T7600, you will not notice much of a speed difference.
Usually the speed of the system is governed by the harddrive because the harddrive is usually the bottleneck of every laptop. The faster the harddrive, the faster the system is.
