I just bought a dell e1705 (1.76ghz core duo proc fsb 533mhz, nvidia 7900gs go 256mb video card). When I ordered the ram I ordered the 667 mhz kind. I heard that if the ram speed does not match the proc fsb speed it is slower. My order shipped so I'm stuck. Am I in trouble?

That's right in theory but in fact you rather difficult to recognise the differrence in speed between RAM bus 533 and 667

there is a difference, but is it noticeable? not really... i mean if you were to perform excruciating painstaking tests on the speed of your overall system to like the micron/s... then you might see it... but in everyday use there's no real difference...

Even if the computer comes with 667MHz RAM, it will still run at 533MHz because your processor's Front-Side Bus only runs at 533MHz.

I would not worry about the RAM speed, there's no noticable difference between 533MHz and 667MHz RAM. More RAM = better.
