I now need to upgrade/replace my laptop video card... I waswondering what is my best option...
More importantly, where can I buy laptop graphics cards in the UK other than ebay!

I think the fastest card you can put in it is a 7900GTX (maybe even a 7950GTX). But that will cost you like $400. Which IMO is a big waste of money for an old notebook.
Or you can spend wisely and buy a low end 7300Go for less than $100, so you can use the notebook for ordinary work.
P.S : You can only upgrade the graphics card if you have a dedicated nVidia card. If you have an integrated Intel card, then you have to replace the whole motherboard. -
Thanks for the reply. The card I had in that is broken now is the geforce 7900 GS. I would like to get the same card as possible as I found it to be a decent card. However I cannot find a UK retailer for this specific card.

If you open your laptop, and look at your 7900GS, you should be able to find the model of the card. Look that number up on ebay, or through google shopping, and you should find it somewhere.
Good luck, the 7900GS, 7900GTX, Quadro FX2500M and 7950GTX will work with your system.
