    Welcome to the NBR forums!

Unfortunately no, you cannot swap any Core i series processors into your laptop. The XPS M1330 can only support 800 FSB Core 2 Duo processors with the best being an X9000 (which costs an arm and a leg). The T8300 should already be a good processor (Penryn, good clock speeds), unless you are rendering or compliling, the only other real upgrade without breaking the bank would be a T9300/T9500.

Unfortunately no other motherboard can really fit in the M1330, it is a unique chassis. The only thing close is the Studio XPS 1340, which is the M1330's successor but it has GPU throttling issues. Right now Dell has no replacement for the 13" for their high end consumer (XPS 14 is due for a refresh, you could also look at the Alienware M14x).
