What would be the closest performing desktop CPU to the Core 2 T9400 (2.53, 1066 FSB, 6MB L2)?

I would say E7200. The Conroes are more comparable to the Meroms.

    The E7200 is 2.53GHz; 3MB; 1066MHz; SSE4.1.
-3 L2 Cache won't make much of a differnece, and being almost identical in specs, I think the E7200 will still be a bit faster than the T9400 in benchies, but much cheaper :p
