So I am looking for the Hitachi 7k320 drive, however, everywhere i see that the drive is selling for cheap (around $109.00)...It lists the product as being the same drive but of the 0A58887 type.
is this just a production number? I am noticing that the 0A5747 are usually selling for around $150, plus i don't see them on ebay unlike the oa58887.
So what's the story here is the 0A58887 a bad batch of 7k320's?

I have three 0A57543's and all of them are working good.
That number is the part number of the harddrive.
By the way, mine is the 160Gb version of the 7K320 and it operates at about 60-64mb/sec
I think the only difference between the two is a firmware revision
