Difference other then 25% more lifespan and 10mb/s faster reads on pro(ie things no normal person will notice).
Do they both use the same MEX module?
Any other differences?

Yes the 1TB 850 Evo uses the MEX controller, but only the 1TB drive. All other capacities use the MGX controller.

Tlc nand. I can't forget the troubled Samsung 840 Evo. To early to trust on TCL nand. To early.

TLC? You couldn't pay me to use a Samsung drive, period.

See where SanDisk is in the graphs? By itself, overall. -
you're not noticing the difference between the two, and if you do you won't care... unless you're a nerd.

One would need to be dead to not notice the difference between an SanDisk Extreme Pro's responsiveness vs. a Samsung almost 'anything' models'.
Bug? You underestimate how big this is and how it is ingrained in every Samsung product. They continue to game benchmarks to their benefit, but now the wheels are starting to fall of the horse and buggy.
I've said for years benchmarks are stupid vs. comparing real world performance of what you previously had to what a new component offers now. Stupid because benchmarks can be rigged. And Samsung is the king at that type of deception. Still.
