I just wanna know the difference between these 2 types of RAM...I guess it sounds like 5400 is faster, true? Does one show better performance than the other? Will both fit into an IFL-90 or any other 15.4" laptop for that matter? Which would you get?

Provided that they are both notebook chips (and I'm assuming you've already made sure of that), they will be the same speed. Those numbers are values based off the true speed of the ram, and different manufacturers round that number up/down to the nearest 100 for marketing. That is all...and they will all be 667MHz RAM.
    667 * 8 ~ 5336...~5300...~5400

5400 and 5300 are the same, just manufactures round differently.

DDR2 memory module ratings are calculated by multiplying the clock by eight.

667 * 8 = 5336. Some companies round up, others down. There is no difference between the two. Night beat me too it

I would get the cheaper ram(buy it yourself if you can)

    Compal IFL90 uses 200 pin DDR2 SO-DIMM 667MHz PC2 5300.
