Hey how much of a difference is there in performance between
AMD Turion(TM) II Dual-Core Mobile Processor P520 (2.3GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)
and
AMD Phenom(TM) II Dual-Core Mobile Processor N620 (2.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache) ?

Ya its a good bit faster. Are you looking at it for an upgrade?
-
I think the only difference is ~22% in clock speed, but that's quite a bit. You've already posted this 'here, though, so stick with that thread.

Not worth it! Can you even do? I doubt.

I know this is a really old post, but I think it's doable, they're both same socket, as long as the bios supports it. I'm about to test it out and waste lots of time putting one into a CQ56-115dx since I'm getting it from the nvidiasettlement. Biggest problem will probably be heat because it uses 35w instead of 25. Though they've used 35w AMD Athlon II processors in it, so I think it'll be ok. Hope it works XD

Let us know if it worked...HP has a relatively limited "officially supported processors" in the service guide for CQ56 but P520 worked nevertheless.
The CQ62 series have a much longer list of "officially supported CPUs".
